Wine from Mount Athos
Wine (from Latin vinum) is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented grapes or other fruits. Archaeological evidence has established the earliest known production of wine from fermented grapes during the late Neolithic site of Hajji Firuz in the northern Zagros Mountains or early Chalcolithic in the northern edge of the Middle East.
At Mylopotamos of Mount Athos, in an immaculate and unpolluted environment, more than a thousand years, there is an organically grown vineyard. With love, dedication and hard work, Mylopotamos produces wine of exceptional quality and international reputation.
